About Us

The Kayayei Empowerment Program is an initiative under the Office of the Vice President in collaboration with National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP), Youth Employment Agency(YEA) and Ghana Enterprise Agency(GEA). The main objective of this program is to empower all Kayayei across the country with technical and vocational education and training (TVET). We aim to train 5,000 girls from the month of May to November 2024, evenly distributed as 600 Kayayei(s) per cohort every month. The program will provide practical skills and knowledge to participants, preparing them for specific trades and occupations. Training areas include soap and detergent making, beading, bakery, pedicure and manicure, décor and makeup.
